About
About: Our View from the Touring Saddle
Roverzandumi is an independent guide for riders who measure a journey by its days rather than its totals.
Why we write
Touring media often celebrates distance: the most miles, the fewest stops, the hardest road. We find that the best journeys rarely look like that from the inside. They are made of mornings on quiet passes, unhurried lunches, a strange roadside sculpture, and arriving with enough energy to enjoy the evening. Roverzandumi exists to help riders plan days like those.
How we work
We base our guides on riding experience, official sources such as road authorities and national tourist route bodies, and published standards for protective equipment. Where we give a figure — a pass altitude, a route length, an opening season — we try to name where it comes from. Seasons and conditions change, so we always encourage riders to check current information locally before setting out.
We are not affiliated with any motorcycle manufacturer, equipment brand, tourism board or road authority, and we do not accept payment for route recommendations.
Speed and endurance are not the point. Attention is.— Editorial principle
Days before distances
We describe how a road feels to ride, when to ride it, and what it costs in energy.

Every guide is a starting point. Local knowledge and current reports come first.
